And for the finale...
It seems that the boys in Puerto Rico figured out that there was something amiss with the routing code that kept sending it to the wrong place each time the barcode was scanned.
Brilliant. It took all that time...
Anyway, they cancelled the routing altogether, re-addressed it as though it was a new consignment originating in Puerto Rico with its destination the correct address in the UK.
It worked. Except... UK customs were suspicious. They unpacked it and dismantled it completely. They didn't even put it back together properly.
It was quite a surprise when it reached its destination earlier today and, after putting a few components back in and replacing some missing screws, it worked.
That's over 25,000 miles in 7 days, and nearly as many countries as I've visited in my lifetime. Well done, DHL. A classic.
